Happy Campers

This past weekend, we went on our ward's annual camp out to Pedernales Falls State Park. We went up a day early and had a good old time. Thursday night was absolutely freezing, but the days were actually nice weather to be outdoors. This was our first time as a family to camp in a tent....with no electricity...with a compost potty....you get the picture I'm sure. We're used to camping in campers, so putting up a tent, cooking, and everything else was an interesting experience. We hiked down to the falls and the girls enjoyed playing in the sand. Friday night, we had a hilarious music time as different people were called up to sing silly songs ont the spot. Blake got to sing "Bringing home my baby Bumblebee" and "the Funky Chicken." We had a good laugh! Saturday morning, they had a big easter egg hunt (I think there were 1300 eggs), and the girls had fun doing that as well. After a good camp out, we were absolutely exhausted and went home to rest up for Easter!

Thanks again for letting us stake down so close to you guys! We had fun playing games too. We need to have you over for more games...minus the cold and bugs. :)
