Now that she's a big five year old, everything is different. She's taller, can run faster, isn't afraid of thunder anymore, has holes in her ears, etc. What? Holes in her ears? Oh yes, with her it's five going on whatever teen year is the most emotional and fashion forward. She came up with the idea to get her ears pierced a few days before her birthday. We questioned whether this would actually materialize, but went with it anyway. The geniuses at the place do the piercing simultaneously with two people, so parents aren't left furious leaving with a one-earinged child. (by the way, that would most definitely had applied in our situation)

We had her party at a jumpy place in Austin and she wanted to be sure it would also be a Tinkerbell party. She, of course, has been planning to have a Tinkerbell party since the day after her 4th birthday party. It was a great time. We've had the older girls' last two birthday parties at locations other than our house and I highly recommend it. She was thrilled will her friends being there to play and with all the fun gifts she received.
Our little girl is becoming quite a remarkable child. She's very mature for her age in some aspects, yet in others ways, she constantly reminds us that she truly is only five.....we sometimes have to be careful not to treat her older . She has taught me to be a more patient person (on which I am still working), and it always melts my heart when she looks at me like she's my biggest fan....when in reality, I am most certainly hers.
