Just Like Riding a Bike

Oh wait, she actually IS riding a bike!

Last week at her Momsie's house, the big one learned to ride a bike with no training wheels.  This feat has been in the works for a while, but hasn't fully come to pass due to fear, motivation, etc.....until now.  Who knows with that child.

She is SO very proud of herself.  Since her maiden voyage of solo bike riding, every morning has involved begging and pleading to go ride.

Her bike is actually too small for her, but it works for now because she feels safe that her feet can touch the ground any time she feels unsteady.

Little sister was chomping at the bit for her chance, but then thought better of it when we actually told her to go for it.  Four years old is a little young still anyway....she has plenty of time.

I hope the expression "It's just like riding a bike, you never forget" will also apply to her memories of this milestone.  We've delighted in seeing her face so exuberant and proud.  Hopefully she'll remember how wonderful she felt about herself learning this lifelong skill.

Way to go T.B.! I don't know what to do with Carson because he is WAY too big for his bike. Guess he better work hard to catch up! :)
